Great outlets about 20 miles away in Lincoln City. The nearby Lighthouses, Aquarium and the shopping were fun. Indoor pool and spa nice, but highly chlorinated. We did not eat at the Embarcadero restaurant but the staff was friendly and helpful when we went down to buy a daily newspaper! More closet space would be a plus when staying for a week. The town is a mile walk, but an easy one. Many guests at the Embarcadero were there to catch crabs. We were able to watch the fishing boats that go to and from the bay along with hear the seals barking on their boardwalk. The Embarcadero is on Newport Bay and all the rooms have a spectacular view of the bay and the lovely bridge that spans it. Although we experienced typical Oregon weather we enjoyed our studio room and the views from it. We stayed at the Embarcadero Resort in Newport the week before Halloween.
